MRI is currently developing an exciting new project which will benefit both ambulance staff and some of the worlds neediest people.

 

Candidates will have the opportunity of working in a high volume trauma environment and gaining valuable and unique experience as frontline crew. Local Health Professions Council registration has been agreed to provide temporary licence for UK ambulance staff to operate in some developing countries where ambulance services are in desperate need of support.

 

Staff will be deployed in a highly equipped MRI response car from the UK and attend the huge numbers of trauma incidents in the capital city. Typically these incidents consist of road accidents where entrapment is common as are multi casualty scenes. Owing to the use of old vehicles lacking in modern safety standards, injuries encountered are diverse and many staff will gain experience in providing care for injuries only rarely encountered in the developed world. Maternity cases are frequent and often result in deliveries in the pre-hospital setting. These types of incident are added to by the normal medical emergencies in any society. With a virtual absence of any form of assistance, these patients will benefit from professional staff whilst providing the opportunity for crew to practise to their highest level of training.

 

Crew will be provided luxury accommodation in the suburbs of the city with all amenities including a swimming pool.
